The poachers strike again...

A male tiger has been found dead in the Jharan range, North Chandrapur, India. As can be seen from the shocking photo, the 6 year old tiger was hacked by the poachers who took away all four limbs and the tiger’s canines.

Tighter policing and enforcement measures have driven Thai based illegal traders of tiger skins and bones to attempt to use an unlikely smuggling route - they have turned to the Thai postal service to smuggle their illegal products. Four complete tiger skins and bones worth an estimated £39,000 were seized by the Royal Thai customs this week.

14 Tigers caught on camera!

Camera traps have captured photos of 14 tigers in the Manas National Park. The park spans the border between India and Bhutan at the foothills of the Himalayas. The area scanned was 650km of the protected sanctuary. The 14 tigers captured on film are made up from 7 males and 6 females, with one tigers gender unknown. Four of the tigers are known to the area and were spotted on both sides of the border.
